SHED Welfare Society stands dedicated to protecting and helping vulnerable communities in times of global and national crises.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, daily wage workers and vulnerable families lost their primary source of income. This emergency project was designed to address extreme food insecurity in struggling households across Pakistan.
Challenge: During the COVID-19 lockdown, millions faced immediate hunger as local markets shut down. Daily earners were completely unable to provide food for their households, causing widespread panic and desperate conditions.
Our Response: In direct response to this humanitarian crisis, SHED Welfare Society quickly organized emergency relief activities. Our dedicated volunteer networks efficiently managed logistics to distribute comprehensive food packages to approximately 2,500 families heavily affected by the pandemic.
Impact: Through this vital intervention, thousands of individuals received nourishment and survival resources during peak lockdown conditions. This timely deployment of resources ensured that the most exposed families experienced tangible support, hope, and relief when they needed it most
